2D/1N Mountain Climb
Mount Kinabalu plays a large role as a large icon for the state of Sabah. Such is the importance that the state capitol of Sabah which was formerly known as Jesselton was renamed to Kota Kinabalu in 1964. It is the highest mountain in Sout East Asia at 4095.2 meters high.
Designated by UNESCO in year 2000 as Malaysia's first World Heritage, Kinabalu Park covers an area of 754sq.km which includes Mount Kinabalu itself.
Climbing this mountain can be done in 2 days. Upon reaching the entrance of Kinabalu Park, they are transfered to Timpohon Gate to begin their climb. The climb usually starts as early as 9 a.m and most climbers are able to reach Laban Rata resthouse before nightfall.
Itinerary
| Day 01 | Pick up at airport or at hotel in Kota Kinabalu. |
| Begin journey to Kinabalu Park to begin the climb at 0900 hours. | |
| Begin climb at Timpohon Gate. Overnight at Mountain Hut. | |
| Day 02 | 0200 hours, begin climb to reach summit. |
| Usually climbers are able to reach the summit before 6 am are able to witness the sunrise. | |
| After 15 minutes or so at the summit, begin to journey backl to have Breakfast at Laban Rata Resthouse. Most climbers are able to reach back at Laban Rata by between 8 am to 10 am. | |
| After breakfast begin journey down to Timpohon gate to be transfered to Kinabalu Park entrance. | |
| If summit is reached, a certificate will be issued. | |
| Transfer back to Hotel in Kota Kinabalu |

Mountain huts are subject to availability. Only Laban Rata resthouse provides heated accommodation.
