3d/2n Sukau Tour
Sandakan is best known for it's wildlife tours. Located at the eastern part of Sabah, it hosts to a few of the best diving spots like Lankayan Island, the best variety of river wetlands wildife, Abai and Sukau. Most locals will remember Sandakan being able to offer the best seafood it has to offer. Sandakan was once known as Elopura and was once historically the capital city of Sabah during the older days. The most common flight to take is the daily MAS KK-SDK MH2042 ETA 0815 hours.
Day 1
Meet at Hotel Lobby (9:45hrs) or Sandakan Airport (preferably on MH 2042 ETA 0845hrs). Transfer to jetty for boat ride to Selingan Island. The journey to Island take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. On arrival, register at the Turtle Island Parks HQ and check into chalet. After lunch at cafeteria, free at own leisure e.g. swimming or snorkeling. After dinner, waiting for the rangers call to observe turtle laying eggs. Transfer the eggs to the Hatchery and if there is any young turtle hatchlings, an opportunity to observe the release of the turtles to the sea. Overnight at chalet (Common or Attached Bathroom).

Day 2
0700 hrs depart island for Sandakan. After breakfast, drive for approximately 30 minutes to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center. Proceed to the free roaming area feeding platform. 1000 hrs feeding of Orang Utans. At this center, observe man’s closest relative “the Orang Utan” being rehabilitated to become wild in their natural habitat and experience a walk in the Tropical Lowland Dipterocarp Forest of Borneo. 1100-1115 hrs depart Sepilok and transfer to jetty in Sandakan.
1145 a.m. take an hour boat cruise up to the Lower Kinabatangan River Sanctuary. This is a wonderful journey of discovery which starts from the waters of Sulu Sea of Sandakan town through a magnificent scenery of the Mangrove Forest. After lunch, cruise up river to Sukau village in search of primates especially the Endemic Proboscis Monkeys, birds and other wildlife. Arrive Sukau, check in at lodge. Late afternoon, an option to take another river cruise to Menanggul River, a small tributary of the Kinabatangan. Return lodge for dinner and overnight at lodge in sukau.

Day 3
After breakfast, river cruise down by boat back to Sandakan. Another chance for wildlife sightings with this approximately 2.5 hours journey. Upon arrival at jetty, have a short Sandakan City tour before lunch at local restaurant or hotel, after lunch, continue tour or proceed to airport for your flight or your hotel.

KK-SDK Flight MH2042 (ETA 0815 hours) and MH2709 (ETD 1415hours) prefered via MAS Airlines. MH2065 (ETD 1735hours) optional. Attached bath or air conditioned rooms are subjects to availability.
