3d/2n danum valley
Danum Valley is an unique place in Sabah and for many who wishes to see more wildlife, exotic plants and enjoy great time within the rainforest. This is the best option, altough pricey however the trip is worthwile and among a must do destination while in Sabah. Danum Valley is located about 2-3 hours drive from Lahad Datu, a town developed for residents who make a living out of Palm Oil Plantations. The road into Danum Valley mainly consists of gravel road and official permits are needed to enter the area.
Day 1
Ex Lahad Datu. Upon arrival at airport or at BRL office in Lahad Datu,
proceed for a 2 hour drive to Borneo Rainforest Lodge. Upon arrival,
check in and drinks and refreshments will be served. After lunch, there
will be some guided jungle activities where you will be able to get
your chances to discover wildlife animals such as the Sumatran Rhinoceros,
Pygmy Elephants, Wild Orang Utans, King Cobras and exotic birds &
plants. After dinner, if weather permits, proceed for a night drive.
Overnight stay at either the Deluxe or Standard Lodge.
Meals: Lunch and dinner.
Day 2
After breakfast, proceed for a guided morning jungle tour. Enjoy watching
the birds and various wildlife animals before proceeding back for lunch.
Explore the riverside trails, you can enjoy a dip at the waterfalls.
After lunch and a some rest, you will be visiting and doing a canopy
walkway which is much much longer than Poring's canopy walk. Back to
lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3
After breakfast, do a short guided early morning walk to see more wildlife before heading back to lunch. After lunch, begin transfer back to Lahad Datu to hotel or airport.
