Gerama River Cruise
Pick up from hotel within Kota Kinabalu at either 1300 or 1400 hours after lunch. Depart for Gerama river to begin the river cruise, journey is about 2 hours. Upon arrival at Gerama river, welcome drinks will be served.
At 1600 hours, river cruise will begin, discover wildlife animals such
as the handsome Proboscis monkeys. Often easily spoted, female
Proboscis are easily recognised as their nose are sharp, small and pointy
unlike the Alpha males whom are distinguishable by their long nose.
If you are fortunate, you may be able to spot other primates, birds,
fishes along the banks of the mangroves.
After the tour, local food will be served. As darkness falls, the journey starts with cruising along the mangrove trees where you will be able to witness unique fireflies in large numbers, lighting up the mangroves. Flickering lights among the trees will amaze you.
After completing the the tour, transfer back to city.
Suggested items to bring: Binoculars, mosquito repellents, long pants, raincoats and torchlight.
