2d/1n Kudat Cultural Tour
This tour will bring you to visit the Kudat area located on the North side of Sabah and is about 200 kilometers away from Kota Kinabalu. The area is native to the large ethicity of the Rungus People.
Day 1
Meet up with the guide to begin a 3 hour journey to Kudat. Along the way, you can make a stop for refreshments with a local treats such as the roast corns or coconut juice before proceeding to the longhouse for check-in. Meetup with the tribe for a short introduction and have lunch where local delicacies are served. While lunch is served, get a chance to hear stories of the Rungus tribe who are proud of their cultures. At own leisure after lunch.
After lunch, proceed to Kudat and before sunset, proceed to tip of Borneo to witness the sunset. Take time to enjoy the panaromic scenery. After sunset head back to the rungus longhouse to have dinner and overnight stay. A short cultural show will be performed before sleeping.
Meals: Lunch and dinner.
Day 2
The Rungus traditional delicacy breakfast is served, consists of sweet potatoes and tapioca with tea and coffee. Depart back to Kota Kinabalu, stopping by to visit the bee farm and gong making factory.
Suggested items to bring: Clothings, trekking shoes, mosquito repellents, long pants, raincoats and torchlight.
