Wildlife Park & Monsopiad
Located approximately 35 to 40 minutes from the city center, 0900 hours pick up from hotel or hostel within Kota Kinabalu area. The park is managed and operated by Sabah Wildlife Department under the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment. While most of the visitors viewed it as a zoo, it is actually a small wildlife rehabilitation centre. The 280 acres of land hosted nearly 100 species of plants, birds and wild animals. The botanical garden which is located near the end of the zoo is managed by Sabah Forestry Department.

After lunch, proceed to visit the legendary house of skulls Monsopiad Cultural Village. Be enthralled by the stories of the ancestors of the pass towards the Monsopiad Man-hunt warrior who sticks with their traditional beliefs. See the "monolith" also known as the "Gintulun" and be enchanted by its tales, there are also other history knowledge that you will benefit, that is visiting the monsopiad exhibition gallery & visit original Kadazan house "Hamin Tinandal" and you can also witness the handicraft making. A visit to the house of skulls is a must to witness the many human skulls that decorated the house. At 1400 hours a cultural show starts, and visitors may observe the colourful traditional dances performances. Try & experience other local activities like blowing dart pip, sago granting & sago grub, rice wine making and other local daily activities that are available.
